By establishing COVID-19 testing pop-up locations, Indiana University Health would be able to reduce the risk of infecting other hospital patients admitted for non-COVID-19 reasons. However, these remote sites still needed the same data center functionality, information security, and reliability that fully networked hospital facilities required. With this in mind, CBTS and Indiana University Health were able to establish a nimble, mobile, and scalable cloud computing network that can establish and maintain connections between these mobile COVID-19 clinics and the primary Indiana University Health centers.
This case study reviews how CBTS worked with Indiana University Health to quickly deploy technology to support the rapid expansion of mobile COVID-19 testing centers and emergency patient overflow tents at the hospitals.
